“What leadership model do we need to guide our organization through the transformational changes that will shape our company in the coming years?”

“What leadership model do we need to guide our organization through the transformational changes that will shape our company in the coming years?”

With this strategic question in mind, a leading global company integrated LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® into its Global Leadership Program, recognizing the need for an innovative and engaging approach to leadership development.

Facilitated in partnership with Quantasia, this two-day workshop brought together 48 executives from around the world, inviting them to reflect on and explore the traits, values, and leadership styles that define their Aspirational Leadership Model.

While “vision” is often associated with a futuristic ideal state, aspiration is more grounded and achievable:

  • Aspiration comes from within—it is shaped by the people involved, rather than dictated by external advisors.
  • It is not just a distant future state but a reflection of who leaders are today and what they can become when maximizing their potential.

Starting with an in-depth analysis of their current leadership model, participants explored what they could aspire to become, pushing their capabilities and engagement to the highest level.

Through a structured process, each team extracted the most relevant elements from their individual models to build a shared leadership identity, ensuring every participant felt represented in a unique, collective vision.

From Insight to Action

At the end of the session, participants reflected on their experience, inspired by their collective work and the three-dimensional models they had created. This process helped them transform insights into tangible leadership actions that could be immediately applied in their roles.

Why LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Made the Difference

🚀 Faster and deeper connections: The methodology helped participants better understand themselves and their colleagues in a short time.
🚀 Alignment & commitment: Teams moved beyond individual perspectives to co-create a common leadership vision.
🚀 A universal language: LSP overcame geographical, cultural, and organizational boundaries, allowing for clear and inclusive communication.

As part of the workshop evaluation, participants rated the methodology across five key aspects, including “How likely are you to recommend LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?”.

The results? An average rating of over 4.2 out of 5 across all areas confirms its effectiveness in leadership development.
